How timely... Suffer from PMS/PMDD? Help is on the way...

A new birth control pill, being released sometime this year in the US, which treats the mood side effects of PMDD (a severe form of mood-disorder PMS), yielding results comparable to those of antidepressants in other studies.

I need to look up the hormones in this pill... some hormones are harder on women with PCOS than others.

Happiness and economics

My friend tunape just made an interesting post about economics and happiness.

Apparently, some recent research shows that when someone experiences an equal gain and loss, the loss affects them more deeply, such that even though they are back to where they are fiscally, emotionally they are worse for the wear.
