Slept for three hours. Awake for nearly that long. Soon, sleep again. I'm a piggy when I'm sick. I'm also way sicker than I thought I was. Lots and lots of sleep and rest tonight and tomorrow.

CAR
I have between 1 and 3 months before I get my license, depending on how things work out!

I've been vaguely entertaining the concept of getting a pickup truck when I do buy, so that I can transport furniture from garage sales. This may be silly, or perhaps it is imminently practical — I'm not sure. The other idea is to go for something that is super fuel efficient. I'll probably buy something from between 98 and 03 depending on price and my own savings.

SEWING
I really want to learn to sew, I've decided. I'm even thinking of trying to make The Little One's flower girl dress for the 27th of May. She's a toddler. I suspect it would be easy, but I'm not sure. I suspect it depends on the fabrics used.

Advice about choosing a sewing machine would be appreciated.

Advice about learning to sew would ALSO be appreciated. Some friends are considering taking a sewing class together. I'm not entirely sure that's necessary... hard to say. I remember some of my sewing lessons from Middle School...

*cough hack wince at sore throat* Ugh. Sleep soon.

In an effort to get better, I spent most of today asleep. In fact, I think my total awake hours adds up to about seven or eight hours.

My throat is less sore, and my voice has returned a little, but I'm still congested and feel like my head is stuffed full of cotton and/or wool. Hopefully another nine hours now will help me recover enough to make a go of it tomorrow at work.

To state the obvious: It's amazing how quickly the weekend goes by when you spend most of it asleep.
