Some statistics for you

Population of Canada (2001): ~ 31 million
Population of Toronto (2001): ~ 4.2 million
Population of the Greater Toronto Area (2001): ~5.1 million
Population of Hamilton (2001, so pre amalgamation): ~ 500,000

Hamilton, where I'm currently living, is the fourth largest city in Ontario, and the ninth largest in Canada.

Vaughan, which is home to the newspaper I'm working on applying to right now, had the highest growth rate in Ontario in our last census year (37%).

I have also just stolen more clothes from my mother. My mother's closet is the best mall ever. Guilt free because the clothing IS free. Unusual because its all old... Yay! Much of the clothing will be good for vaguely professional settings, so I won't be showing up at interviews or conferences in sweats and t-shirts. phew.

After deciding the Vaughan job was Perfect, I didn't fax it today; instead I spent countless hours sorta kinda working on revising the cover letter but really doing other things.

I can't believe I'm leaving for DC Monday. So much to do, so little time, and to top it off I'm teaching from 9 am-1 tomorrow. But y'know? For an extra $88, I can live with getting up early.

I'm looking forward to the conference and seeing lariel, but I suddenly wish I had more time. Where was my motivation to get all this stuff done on the days I spent watching Buffy? I suppose, at least I found it. My motivation, that is.

Anyway, I have a really wretched headache, complete with nausea, so I think it is bed time for me. nini world!
