After deciding the Vaughan job was Perfect, I didn't fax it today; instead I spent countless hours sorta kinda working on revising the cover letter but really doing other things.

I can't believe I'm leaving for DC Monday. So much to do, so little time, and to top it off I'm teaching from 9 am-1 tomorrow. But y'know? For an extra $88, I can live with getting up early.

I'm looking forward to the conference and seeing [livejournal.com profile] lariel, but I suddenly wish I had more time. Where was my motivation to get all this stuff done on the days I spent watching Buffy? I suppose, at least I found it. My motivation, that is.

Anyway, I have a really wretched headache, complete with nausea, so I think it is bed time for me. nini world!

Wanna do lunch or dinner or coffee or something while you're in town?

Yes, definitely!

email me at my lj address and we can attempt to coordinate schedules. I'll be downtown practically every day for the conference, although some days may be better than others; I'll have to look.

You're in DC next week? So am I! I'll be in Arlington for the MEPAG meeting... would you be interested in meeting-up? Besides, I still owe you $30 for the comforter and alarm clock ;).

Sure, I'd love to see you! You could meet my hostess if timing works out that way, too. She's also an MIT alum.

What's MEPAG?

And, as I said to Tikva, I'll be in downtown DC most days. We could grab lunch or "coffee" together.

Mars Exploration Planning and Advisory Group, basically a gathering of the Mars exploration science community every 9 months to consider the latest results and make recommendations to NASA and Congress as to science goals and priorities. Frankness is encouraged, so no media representatives are allowed ;).

I'd be happy to see you and/or meet your hostess! I arrive tomorrow (Tuesday) around 7pm and leave Friday after lunch and am staying at a hotel near National Airport. I'll be nearby in Arlington during the day.

LOL... you don't know the connotations of "coffee" around here in quotation marks (grin)...

I find myself looking for my motivation a lot of days... sometimes I find it, and then I get a lot done... other days it completely fails to make an appearance. I guess that's not much different from most people, though, right? :)

Dunno. Sometimes I think that lack of motivation means something is wrong with me. After all, when I have antidepressant meds that are working, I'm ver motivated. I have a very energetic productive personality, but tend to be very apathetic at the same time, due to anxiety and depression.

And that was probably a more serious answer than was warranted. My bad!

Sorry to hear that. *hugs* It sounds like it could be a migraine to me; do you get these sorts of headaches often? I've gotten migraines most of my life but fortunately they're relatively mild and usually handled by the medicine I have.
