car donations

After some thought, I think unseelie and I want to donate his car to a charity after transferring the car's ownership to me. As an individual who expects to make large amounts of self-employment income this year, having $2000 to deduct could go a long way.

So I'm looking for a local charity which accepts car donations and is a 501(c)(3).

Anyone have any recommendations?

The results will surprise even the most cynical. I'm disgusted and flabbergasted.

It's one of those things that you always assumed was the case, but having it confirmed is nonetheless kind of shocking.
