Thinking of going to WorldCon?
Jun. 20th, 2003 10:23 amYay! I just finished booking our flights to WorldCon.
Tickets were only $274 each, flying from Oakland to Buffalo.
Direct flights SFO-Toronto are $350.
Direct flights BOS-Toronto are $175.
Those are all on United Airlines; the latter are leaving Thursday morning of the Con and getting back into Boston Monday evening after the Con ends.
So if you are considering also going to WorldCon... registration before June 30 will cost you $185, afterwards, $205. But with the exchange rate, if you pay at the door in Canadian dollars, it will be about $185 US anyway.
Bay Area folk will come to a total of $535 before hotels and food.
Bostonians will come to a total of $360 before hotels and food.
Con hotels are about $150 USD, but my mother tells me that you can get hotels on priceline for WAY cheaper because of the silly SARS scare.
Come on, you KNOW you wanna!

Oh, and for some reason using
silentmwe's method to access the ftp site I was trying to get to worked where the ftp client in terminal didn't. So I'm all set. Thanks,
silentmwe!
