Cafe Abir is hiring
Nov. 18th, 2002 11:46 amCafe Abir, my second favourite cafe (and that may just be because I haven't spent that much time in it), is hiring part and full time folk.
Tomorrow and Wednesday from 11-12, they are doing 'short initial interviews.' I'm supposed to bring my resume.
Should I apply?
Should I apply part time or full time?
Should I try my best to find a printer for my resume, should I go empty-handed, or should I email the poster and ask him what he wants me to do?
If I email the poster, should I ask him if he's interested in people with no cafe experience? Or just go in and wow him with my fabulous personality in case the answer is no but can be pushed?
When I go in, do I go in dressed like a goth, or like a normal person? Who do I 'go as'?
Today when I go to a cafe to work on my novel/chill, do I go to People's where I usually go, or to Cafe Abir to get a feel for its ambiance and the kind of people who work there? What if the manager is there and recognizes me from today tomorrow?
I'm teaching skating currently on Sundays 2:45-3:15, but apparently its looking like I'll be used soon for Saturday as well (not sure what time). No idea when privates will start kicking in, but I'm guessing not any time too soon unless a friend expresses interest. As I get more and more skating business, teaching skating+a part time job at a cafe would barely cover my expenses while I get into the swing of freelance... if I actually do it. Would I actually get into the swing of freelance? Do I want to? I still am kind of considering myself "unemployed" rather than self-employed, and have not bothered at all to look for freelance article opportunities. Should I start doing that?
I need to figure out what I'm doing...
