Nice Evil banks?
Nov. 18th, 2002 05:19 pmThe weirdest thing happened to me today.
I got a call from Wells Fargo.
The nice gentleman, KC, told me that in a month, my free trial on my accounts would be over, and I'd be hit by a whopping $10 fee, unless I had $5000 balance between the two, and maintained that low balance.
He explained to me that they didn't want that to happen to me, and that he was calling to ask if I wanted my options for switching explained to me, and that he would do the changes to different, non fee'd bank accounts over the phone if I wanted them.
Since when are banks NICE to us?? This is Really Weird.

Date: 2002-11-18 05:29 pm (UTC)On this account, I get fees if the balance is below $1000; before, it was if it was below $5000.
On this account, I have to get a Wells Fargo Credit card (which has no fees) for overdraft purposes, whereas on the other one, it would take overdrafted money out of my savings account (ie. the accounts were linked)
On this account, I receive no interest.

Good luck!
