I sat down at a math press briefing and thought, "Gee, this mathematician..." *peers at name thing* "...David Krumholtz is unbelievably hot."

Should have known right off that, since this briefing addressed the show Numb3rs, that he was an actor.

He is still hot, but he does not have the added hotness of being a mathematician. Sadness!

I've never seen the show, but between the interesting descriptions their math advisor was giving, and the hotness that is Krumholtz, I may just have to check it out. Luckily, they were giving out free DVDs with an episode. Score!

I confess, he is sufficiently hot that I had trouble focusing while the mathematicians were talking about their work, and my stomach was turning little flip flops. However, I was good. I have no business related reason to talk to him, and so I did not follow him to the interview room afterwards. Even if in my fantasies, he was checking me out rather than just noticing me checking him out.

Sci Fi con organizers... if you want to get info for him for cons, speak now or forever hold your peace.

I think Bill had promised to deal with that. I'll check to make sure. *kisses* I am having fun, adorable actors-who-are-not-geeks notwithstanding.

He was also in a movie called Scorched, which is, among other things, about a group of gamers.

So while he's not a mathematician, one could infer by the roles he's played that he very well may, in fact, be a geek. :)

He may, in fact, be vying for the crown of "His Royal Highness, King of the Geeks".

Num3ers is a great show..a litle off the wall in ter of reality but what show isn't?

It als stars someone who is geekish and I have always had a crush on Rob Morrow. I think he's very very hot! He plays a cop a very unlikely role for him (He played Dr. Joel Fleishman on Northern Exposure).

Which episode is it? The pilot?

Yeah, and it has Judd Hirsch, who I've loved ever since I was a kid. First Season also featured Sabrina Lloyd of Sliders as the token female FBI agent.
