Sometimes I'll find out that someone I don't read regularly is regularly reading my LJ, and I feel guilty. You're on my default reading filter, but I gave you a 9, since when I go on "vacation" I tend to skip everything written by everyone during that duration.

You're on my Daily Reading filter, but if I'm gone from LJ for a long time, I may or may not make it back to all your entries. That said, I think over the Christmas holiday this last year was the first time that had happened.

All my "friends" are on my default filter (I tend to simply drop people/groups I don't feel like actually trying to keep up with). I don't list anyone just so they can read friends posts - I almost never post protected anyway. That said, that's an "8" on the relative scale of "when I'm reading LJ", which I don't do every day and sometimes don't do for a week or more at a time. I don't comment all that often on you because I seem to hit buttons that make you uncomfortable every time I do, and I don't like making people uncomfortable. I don't care if people read back or not, it's completely independent of if I want to read someone or not.

LiveJournal is taking a smaller role overall -- you still have a share but honestly I'm not reading anyone with much attention to detail. Read or don't read, your choice. I don't write much but would welcome your eyes on some of the more obscure bits.

I've become a chronic skimmer of most people's entries on my friends list, especially if the posts are long. But that being said, when I have the time to read and think, I enjoy some of your entries, even though I haven't left you a comment in ages.
