Massive friends list winnowing time

For a while now, I've been feeling like I need to cut down on my disturbingly large friends list. It's hard, though, when you have people all over the continent you are trying to keep in touch with.

So, I hope mactavish doesn't mind that I've yoinked her quizzes and am going to do the same thing here.

Stay tuned for two quizzes which you should take if you particularly want to stay on my friends list. People who are regularly part of my life don't need to worry about being removed, so no worries.

One thing to bear in mind is that if it's just that you don't want to have to read everyone's journals all the time, or have everyone read every post you write, you can create custom friends groups (http://www.livejournal.com/friends/editgroups.bml) to filter your list, either for reading or posting. That's the only way mine stays manageable...
