Canadians can have group sex in clubs: top court

I'm so thrilled. This is EXCELLENT news. I'll have to take a look at the ruling to find out if it has to be a private, members only club, or if it can be a club open to the public, but either way, this is awesome.

Edit I've heard some say that this ruling was very particular to the case in point... I don't understand law, so this may not be as big a deal as I had hoped. We'll have to see.

Probably, at least on some level. They share the common roots of English common law and the system of precedent, so I'd bet a lot of the underlying theories are the same at a basic minimum...though the decisions over time would've likely lead to large differences.

I read this article somewhere else, too. It seems (from what I could understand) that group sex doesn't harm society behind closed doors, and since none of the people having sex with each other exchanged money WITH EACH OTHER, it was okay.
