Centrios and nextexx and possibly maxell... any experience with these brands? I don't know that they are canadian owned but they seem only available in Canada, and I'm thus having trouble getting accurate info on quality.

Centrios and Nextexx are both low-end brands, but they do make some cool gadgets. Reliability isn't the best, but its a matter of getting what you pay for. Centrios DVD+R discs suck. Or, at least, I had 12 fail out of a pack of 20.

Maxell magnetic-media products have been available in the NYC area for as long as I can remember. I do not know about the others.

Maxell is a big, globally-avaliable brand.

I bought my mom a Centrious CD player and I think they are OK. Maxell make media (magnetic and digital) storage devices don't they? The ones I have owned are excellent but I can speak about anything else they make.
