Is the Mayo clinic super reputable and famous and l33t the way I hear it is from my parents?

I can't tell if they just have a good marketing department, or if they are a leading medical research and treatment institution.

And, if you need more specifics than "Mayo rocks!", I know they have several thousand doctors and scientists on-site, covering every imaginable speciality. Kings go there for surgery. Ronald Reagan went there to have cancer removed.

Yes.

They have a very good marketing department, and sell themselves hard, but they are also a leading medical research and treatment institution. They draw physicians from all over the world, and do some really incredible work.

The only negative I've heard about them,
is that to some Doctors, you are just a machine to be repaired.

But damn, they are best the mechanics to go to when you need them.
