Lunch anyone? and life
Sep. 24th, 2002 09:08 amAnyone in the South Bay want to pick me up for lunch and eat somewhere affordable, leftover enabled, etc, then drop me back off at SLAC? SLAC is right off the Sand Hill Road exit on 280.

Housemate search is going slightly better, but it has been made clear to us that the price is all wrong. We'd talked about it before, but I think that Kat is going to call the landlord today and ask for a decrease of about $400/month total, which would amount to a decrease of $100 each in rent. Yay!
This is not only justified because a lot of potential renters have not even looked at us twice due to the price, but also just looking at other stuff in the area. Searching on craigslist, I found nearby places for $400, $600, and one for $650 with an ensuite bathroom at haight and fillmore. No shit!
I'm still itchy in places. Don't know what the fuck is up with my skin. Some of the places have migrated though. I had a nightmare about having fleas. ick. But I can't have fleas; some of the pertinently hairy places are the ones that AREN'T itchy.
I think my skin just was feeling really sensitive to allergens. My cleavage area is fucked up right now because it decided it was allergic to the sterling silver in my pentacle. I know fey are supposed to be allergic to metal, but this is ridiculous.
We interviewed a REALLY promising roommate in person yesterday. I really liked her, and she liked us so much that she asked if she could come to our parties even if she didn't end up moving in. She hugged us goodbye, and I think it was clear to all of us that she would say yes for sure if she can make it happen financially, but she really wanted somewhere $100 cheaper. Hence the call to the landlord.
Today we're interviewing one last person. He also seemed promising, but I doubt that he will say yes to us, because he's looked at a TON of places. But he said that we totally sounded like his crowd. That's promising. Still, I think that both Kat and I will take the girl we interviewed yesterday if we can. I just don't know if she'll be able to afford it. :(
In other news, I've been eating healthy and exercising regularly. I'm just a little sleep deprived, that's all.
Oh, and for those wondering, I will not be at Buffy night at
covenantscave's place tonight; I need to be in SF to interview this last person and have 'fun housing conversations.' I think that late tonight after the lj fleshmeet down the street from us, we'll be heading back to unseelie and lunaticsx's place to watch it on tape. Yay new Buffy!
I guess that's all for now. Over and out
