I just came out to my parents as being bisexual. And the world didn't come to an end. In fact, everything is just fine.

More later when I'm feeling less vulnerable. In the meantime, please post funny or warm fuzzy thing to help put me in a normal, happy mood.

*laughs*

That's awesome.

Y'know, I knew a gay jewish boy who was dating a neo-nazi skin head. It was an extremely fucked up relationship... the jewish boy was a bottom, btw. *twitch*

awww, that's cute! Thanks for sharing. :)

Y'know, before I left SF, Quincy was at Rainbow Grocery and he saw an ad; a couple had a cat they had raised on meat substitutes and they needed to find it a new home but were only willing to give it to someone who would agree to keep it vegan. He (and I) was pretty offended by it... not only because that's tatamount to abuse, but also because, if you're going to raise a cat on a fucked up diet that's expensive and messes up their digestive system, then have the decency to keep it.

wow, I must have searched 6 places before finding "didascalia" on allwords.com: "the words that accompany a photograph, cartoon, etc to explain it."

On dictionary.com, the closest I found was "didascalic": "Didactic; preceptive", with different etymology.

(cf. onomatopoeia)

Coming from you, that's a huge compliment. Thanks!

I knew the word from theatre: it's the actions an actor is to perform. There is at least one play out there composed entirely of didascalia. No dialogue.

in the play, are the didascalias meant to be spoken by the actors? Or is the play script composed entirely of action instructions, and the play itself silent?

Thank you! It was taken at a π-day party (March 14, starting at 1:59). I was posing as I was about to slice into the first pie.

That's awesome! What a good day for you, you must be so relieved. I'll be seeing you tomorrow, right? We'll have lots of congratulatory dinner!

Funny thing, I was thinking about you today, I found the Better than Chocolate soundtrack while shopping after work! :D
Ian still hasn't seen the movie, but I'm going to pop in the CD at bedtime.

Ooo, the soundtrack? Hmm. I bet I'd like that. I'll have to listen to some of it when I'm over next. And, watch the movie and enjoy! I haven't missed it so far yet, so no worries.

Congratulations babe!!

I got to play with little fuzzballs today! I ran into some gutter punks who had some baby ratties, and since I noticed them and didn't freak, they offered to let me pick up the babies. They were sooooooooo sweet!

Awww! Fuzzballs! Ratties for the Maura! I hope your next household let's you have ratties.

Oh, and I've been reading and I'm really sorry about the housemate, but I hope this works out for the best with you finding a similarly priced place in a better, greener neighbourhood. And dude, Madame Butterfly!

I miss you. If I were rich I would fly you here for a visit, and we'd take Toronto by storm. :)

I hope it works out. He's not a completely unpleasant person, it's just that he lies and does underhanded things, he's inconsiderate and conniving and completely disgusting. Other than that he's not so bad.

Aw, I wish I were rich and I'd fly up for a visit, and I'd take you back with me for at least a week. Well, the first one of us to get rich has to fly me up there. 8)

The book is really great! I haven't read it since seeing the series, so I'd love to re-read it knowing how all the characters are supposed to look.

Have you seen the trailers for Mirrormask (http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/mirrormask/) yet?
