Jan. 25th, 2005 09:44 pmSince cellphone plans in Canada are so much more expensive, I've been attempting to evaluate how many minutes I use per month, how much data I use per month, and how much off-peak minutes I use per month. So I thought I'd ask you all what YOU do! If you're off the scale in either direction, please select the closest option. I will sort for Canadian vs. US users before I post any results.

Date: 2005-01-26 05:11 am (UTC)My previous plan (Sprint), at about $35 for 300 anytime + nights + weekends, was a better deal, but had no reasonable data service option.
I guess I want to explain
Date: 2005-01-26 06:34 am (UTC)I am not sure what you mean by data, so I took that to mean pics, text messages, and online mobile use. Mark is the only who uses the web from his phone. My plan is 59 a month and Mark and Natalies are an additional 23 each.

Date: 2005-01-26 08:16 am (UTC)With MetroPCS, a little over 44 thousand. Unmeasured usage makes billing simpler. About $55/month including an hour or so of international long distance. The LD is measured with indefinate rollover.
With T-Mobile, as many as I've paid for. At 30c/minute I wait for the annual "doesn't expire for a year" special and wind up with a backup for about $50/year which I'm loathe to answer. I lost it about four months ago but see no need to tell 'em. What if I find a useable handset before my minutes would have expired?
Do you need a phone in your pocket? Would something like Vonage (VoIP, US$2x/mo, unlimited usage to US & Canada) work?
