VHS to DVD

Anyone have the equipment to convert VHS to DVD and willing to do so for me? I need to preserve copies of my skating tapes... they're literally irreplaceable.

I once had a British tape converted to the American standard by AVC. I believe they also do DVDs.

I have the cabability to do that, but you'd have to come out to Sacto... Not very convininent, but if there is no other option...

you can do it with a video capture card(I got one from radio shack for $70) and a cd burner.

otherwise, my dad had some tapes converted at the local university's AV lab for a very reasonable price(I think like $10/hr of video or something).
