Are they that different?

I'm thinking of skipping disneyland; it's a bitch to get to on pub trans from pasadena, and I don't think I would enjoy it as much alone. Plus, there are tons of things here to enjoy which are much easier to get to on public transportation.

Yesterday was kind of a touristy bust. Today will thus be hectic, if we ever get around to going anywhere.

I also seem to be somewhat irritable today, which may be due to the lack of sleep in attempting to get up early enough to get out of the house at a reasonable hour. Or maybe for more complicated reasons than that.

If you haven't, and you get a chance, take a metro to Hollywood and Highland. It's a bit of an experience to wander around Hollywood. ;)

Disney World according to my friend who lives in Florida is more of a big kids playground. Clubs, restaurants and such cater to adults more.

Disneyworld has everything Disneyland has, with a couple minor differneces, (one has Sleeping Beauty's castle, the other has Cinderella's) and one major difference - size. DisneyWorld has the same stuff on three times the property - so your feet hurt a lot more at the end of the day. Plus, it's older - and in some places it's obvious.

Also - DW has Epcott and Pleasure Island and other stuff.

Disneyland has a creepy statue of Walt waving his hand, and as he was alleged to be a nazi sympathizer, it looks too much like the 'heil!' pose.

Everywhere in the LA area is a bitch to get to without a car. Mass transit there ranges from nonexistent to less-reliable-than-hitchhiking. Originally there was a mass transit system plan for LA but Winston Tires and Ford bought and trashed the project. This transit system is symbolized by "Toontown" in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit."
