Run, do not walk, to Valencia Street Books at 569 Valencia St.

The owner is a consumate knitter and knits the coolest scarves which you absolutely must see. I recommend checking them out (she sells them in the store) even if you're not interested in buying in order to see the cool things she does.

The lovely folks at Valencia Street Books have some book boxes set aside for me... as zahl said:

In fact, anyone arriving at 569 Valencia who says "boxes for Dana!" will
be given a metric buttload of boxes and a few peanuts for her. We're open
till 10pm, maybe later tonight, so come say hi.

I will be grateful if someone can help me out in this way! Then I can start packing crates of books. :)

I was in there with chubbycore last month - my god, those things are amazing. (And she charges what they're actually worth when you figure time and material.) Is the ribbon scarf still there?
