Goodbye foo
There were a few mentions of a goodbye party, but I've decided that I don't have the energy to organize one at this stage.

My schedule is very spare at the moment. Now is an excellent time to book some Dana time.

Dickens
Dickens was a LOT of fun. My impromptu costume worked out fabulously and I thusly got in free (a deal which was sadly only available this weekend). I may be addicted. I may have to go back, or even buy a Season's pass. I can justify this by sleeping well before I go, and then dancing as much as I can at Fezziwigs. Hey, if its good exercise...

Anyone want to get a group together to go at any point? $15/person for a group... $17 for students, $20 at the door.

I scored a really nice journal from Oberon Design for only $30; it's slightly smaller than a hardcover, with purple leather embossed with a beautiful floral scene. I'm not sure how I'm going to fill the blank pages, but I'll find something to do with it.

eBay

So, I've been admiring both canon digicams and ipods of late, and I did my research on several websites before checking out some auctions on eBay. Boy are people on there stupid! I'm seeing a lot of people bidding the exact same price they would pay to get it from Amazon (once shipping is taken into account), or not much lower, or in some cases MORE than the Amazon price. It appears that eBay is no longer a great place to find good deals. Or at least, not on electronics. Or at least, not on the ones I'm wanting (an iPod, and a canon a95).

In the downer side of things, I think I am coming down with a cold. Speaking of which, I imagine it is well past time I pass out. g'night all!

If you do Dicken's again, don't forget to go for tea at whatever that tea house is called, and be sure to watch the belly dancers, especially at the end of the day. The last couple years running, there is this _lovely_ young woman named Rosa whose dancing is better than sex. Well, some sex. But it's damn good, and I always leave breathless.

See the thing about a good bye party is that a friend should throw it for you. Whether it be a dinner, actual party or a small gathering.

Besides, you are leaving in a very busy month, whether it be because of holidays or work.

Good luck in Canada eh!

I got my digi cam on ebay for a great deal. The thing there is I got a package with a bunch of extras that you can't buy elsewhere. So if you keep and eye out, I think the deals are there.

looked at bundled stuff... looks like, if you actually want the stuff in the bundles, you CAN get a better deal than Amazon buying all the objects separately. But it isn't a HUGE saving... looks like about $50 saving at most.

Thanks for the tip, though.

If you were still going to be in the area, I'd suggest asking about working Fezzi's next year. I have a couple of friends that do that now.

What kind of deal are you looking for on an iPod?

um, a good deal?

I believe I'm interested in 10 gig and beyond, or a really good deal on a mini. Unless I find a fabulous deal I'd like to spend <$150
