If anyone knows someone who might be interested in my room, please toss us a line.
No specific time limit:
- sit down with housemates and find out how much assistance they want in finding a new housemate, and go from there
- get boxes, start packing, make customs list of said material while packing
- figure out the deal with utilities in my name: Speakeasy, Netflix, and SBC
- deal with cellphone: how to cancel the contract, and WHEN to do so, and whether to sell the phone or keep it to use on the Canadian network
- try to get in touch with high school friends
- network -- meet people on lj and elsewhere in the GTA
- decide about Arisia and buy pass, room, etc.
- ditto for NASW and AAAS
- eventually, start selling/giving away furniture
- find somewhere you can work out near parents' place and near brothers' place

Date: 2004-11-26 11:49 am (UTC)Anyway, I'm really looking forward to, as you say, "discovering Toronto." I spent my childhood there, but I guess its time to reclaim it as an adult.

Date: 2004-11-26 01:06 pm (UTC)If you have enough fannish contacts in Boston, is it possible we are 7-steps connected though the suspects/elbows community?

Date: 2004-11-26 09:14 pm (UTC)I imagine we probably are connected at some level. And we certainly will be if we both get into Ryerson; I don't know how many classes we'd have together being in slightly different programs, but we'd see each other around, I imagine.

Date: 2004-11-26 10:20 pm (UTC)If we both go into journalism next year, even if you're in 2-year instead of the 4 I'll be in, I believe there's some class overlap, simply because we're both 'just starting'. Either way, the faculty is apparently very....intimate. The Rogers Communications Centre definitely is. Though considering they have 18000 students on a campus that's one city block in each direction, everything's a bit cosy ;-)
