Right. I found another option that satisfies all of my needs quite nicely.

So. IF I go through with this, here's the deal.

If I can't find anyone to drive me to San Jose Airport for a 7 a.m. flight on Tuesday, January 4th or Wednesday January 5th, I'll be leaving on Dec. 25th instead (from Oakland). Yes, I could take caltrain, but that would negate my savings.

So, any takers? Is 10 more days of Dana time worth a ride to San Jose airport at ungodly o'clock of the morning? You decide!

The flight leaves at 7 a.m. on Tues Jan 4 or Wed Jan 5, and I could sleep over at whoever-is-driving-me's place the night before. I'll update the entry...

Well, I live pretty close to the airport, and I will be getting back into town on Jan 4. If you want to depart on Jan 5, you can stay the night at my place, and I will give you a ride.

I see there are many offers already, but I too could drive you on either day, though I would prefer Wednesday. I pass moderately close by the airport en route to my daily job in the afternoons in East San Jose. True, I'd have to get up much earlier than usual, but I can cope for one day, I think :)
