So, supposedly Republicans are pushing a bill with some stuff hidden in it which would legalize the deportation of suspected terrorists to other countries in order to be tortured. Or maybe I'm misreading this...

As the linked post mentions, this came up a while back when the US subjected a Canadian citizen to "extraordinary rendition". The only way we're going to stop stuff like this is to show the Republicans that this kind of stuff gets them booted out of office. If they get handed their asses enough times, the current leadership will collapse and we'll get back to having sane people like Whitman and Snowe and McCain in charge again.
