My next party will probably have:
-dates or figs wrapped in bacon (mmm, bacon)
-cheddar fondue (but nothing to dip in it that you guys don't provide!)
-chocolate fondue (but nothing to dip in it that you guys don't provide!)
-a cake from Costco unless someone volunteers to bake me a cake or acquire a cake elsewhere
-diet Hansens in Black Cherry and Tangerine Lime flavors
-light butter popcorn
-country time lemonade
-a small supply of soda

General

-licorice and mint are icky.
-spicy is bad unless it's spicy like wasabi... so make it mild.
-meat is tasty
-seafood is okay but no special treat
-sushi is wonderful
-avocado is tasty but guacamole is nasty
-gummi candy is a waste of calories
-cheese is super tasty but I'm very picky
-alcohol should be sweet
-everything should be sweet (well, not everything... but I have quite the sweet tooth)
-I haven't met an ethnic food type I don't like yet... although with some my selections are inauthentic or limited due to my spice wimpyness.
-coconut and avocado obssess me
-I'm on a mango and sticky rice kick, but mangos are out of season! woe is me!

Chocolate

I love chocolate, but I am only interested in high quality chocolate.

Acceptable brands: Ghirardelli, Lindt, Scharffenberger (a favorite), Valhrona, Cote d'Or, Godiva, See's (there are others, but this should give you an idea)

I normally prefer milk chocolate but my tastes have been evolving to include some of the lighter dark chocolates.

Peanuts or peanut butter with chocolate is bad.

Chocolate flavored things

Hot chocolate is very tasty.

Anything with chunks of chocolate is good.

The more chocolate, the better.

Chocolate cake should taste really chocolatey, or it isn't worthwhile.

Oranges don't go with chocolate.

Ice cream

Plain chocolate ice cream is out for the most part, except the Godiva Belgian Dark, and Ghirardellis from their own shop. Chocolate ice cream with chunks of chocolate, brownies, etc. however, are acceptable.

My favorite flavors are Godiva Belgian Dark, and Ben and Jerry's Half Baked. I generally like chocolate chip cookie dough, especially with hot fudge sauce. I'm interested in trying out some of the other Godiva flavors but haven't had the opportunity.

Chocolate milk shakes when sufficiently thick and chocolatey are delicious.

Cookies

The only premade chocolate chip cookies which I have found which are acceptable are the Costco ones.

Cookies baked from cookie dough are acceptable.

Pinwheels (marshmallow coated in chocolate) are great.

Oreos must be double-stuffed.

Candy

Caramel and butterscotch are yummy. Chocolate is yummy. Coconut is yummy. Almonds and other nuts (but not peanuts and hazelnuts, the former because they are icky, the later because I'm allergic to whole unprocessed hazelnuts) are ok and even good. Fruit flavored candy is generally a waste. Some cherry or raspberry flavored chocolate has been deemed appropriate.

Entree's
Some favorite entrees include:
praram long srong (peanut beef over spinach), peanut sauce salad, or anything with a peanut sauce
lamb korma or extremely creamy lamb tikka masala
Kabuli naan (naan with cherries, nuts, and raisins in it)
lemon chicken, when its done right and not like sweet and sour chicken balls
orange chicken, see above
cheese fondue, yum yum yum

beverages
orange juice: with lots of pulp
lemonade: on the tart side
aspartame: diet pepsi, diet coke, and most diet beverages have aspartame in them, and I'm trying to avoid this. C2 is a good compromise, since it is half normal sweetener and half aspartame. Diet Dr. Pepper works better than diet coke and diet pepsi imo. Diet pepsi works better than diet coke, imo.
splenda: diet hansens, koolaid made with splenda, and diet rite are great diet beverages made with splenda, which is slightly healthier than aspartame. I find diet rite a little strange tasting, but try to consume it instead of normal soda when possible.
soda: dr. pepper is my favorite, then coke, when not drinking diet
caffeine: I don't regularly imbibe, so when I do have soda with caffeine I have to be careful
Coffee: smells great, tastes nasty
Tea: only herbal ones which are sweet; there's a wild berry zinger which I enjoy a great deal

Pie
Don't bother making me apple pie unless you are unusually skilled. My father's apple pie knows no equal, and if I really want apple pie, I'll make his recipe myself or visit him in Hamilton.

Other pies are tasty.
