yay for writing
Jul. 29th, 2004 03:34 amOK, ok, I know I said I was back burner-ing fiction writing until I had my science writing career under control, but when the muse strikes, well, she strikes.
I got an idea for a short story. Science Fiction. It's a thoughtful piece with strong character development and an interesting plot that wouldn't be quite the same without the technology. I'm excited.
I just hope I can do it justice, being all out of practice and all. *crosses fingers*
Today I...
slept in by accident, took my meds late, and got really depressed
scrubbed the tub
cooked myself a tasty big lunner
moved more furniture around in my bedroom
organized and emptied some baskets which sorely needed it
found resting homes for a variety of possessions
opened a lot of old mail and threw most of it out
filled an old nutella jar with splenda by emptying one packet at a time
watched two new movies
started a new short story
My room just keeps on getting happier and happier. It's to the point that just seeing my room and how organized and clean and well-layed out it is cheers me up, even when I'm feeling down and depressed. Yay!
night all!

Female Sci-Fi writers...
Date: 2004-08-05 10:17 am (UTC)I'm not trying a come-on here, I would just like to read some well-written scifi. When I switched over to using my Palm as a big library, I got exposed to some scifi by Julie Czerneda, I own my fair share of Elizabeth Moon, a lot of Anne McAffrey's crossover scifi-fantasy, Margaret Atwood's social scifi works, and am looking forward to Octavia Butler and Tanith Lee. I also have more than my fair share of Asimov, Heinlein, Adams, and more male-centric authors.
So, if you don't mind, I'd like to add you to my list of scifi female authors.
