This weekend

Bad News
My brother had an accident during fire dancing and has second degree burns. He will have to cancel his visit this weekend.

Good News
He should be able to get credit towards tickets for some later date, so he'll still be visiting eventually.

This also means that I can pierce my nipples as soon as I'm ready, and that I suddenly have the whole weekend free.

I have a number of ideas of what I could do with the weekend. Stay here and go to any events that are going on (what's going on this weekend??). Get last minute cheap tickets to somewhere (anyone interested in flying somewhere with me this weekend?). Go on a road trip somewhere (anyone interested in driving somewhere with me this weekend?).

So.

Since I'm considering getting my nipples pierced, perhaps if the packing and cleaning schedule allow, I'd like to go with you for that event.

And, uhm, you asked us to remind you to be careful of your money. Even cheap roadtripping and flying is an expense that perhaps you want to avoid. But, oh, wouldn't it be fun.

True... I've been making a wishlist of things I would like to purchase, some practical, some not. And it occurs to me that buying a plane ticket's worth of those items (like under bed storage trunks, for instance) would make me far happier in the long run.
