Medication and eye fun
Jul. 13th, 2004 05:19 pmSo I just checked in with my psych doctor.
None of my side effects so far are cause for concern, EXCEPT that the eye strain and headaches I've been getting could be a problem.
He said that there's little to no danger of permanent eye damage but that most people find the headaches and eye problems I've been struggling with to be an intolerable side effect. It may disappear with time.
So I went into costco, where I got an eye exam for $63 (including dilation). Turns out my prescription has gotten one step better in both eyes, and I've developed mild astigmatism. I ordered new lenses in my old glasses, thinking, "I've got a spare set of glasses at home, so I can wait a week to get these back."
I walked home with those silly looking fake black sunglasses on. My eyes hurt, I feel vaguely nauseous, and I have a headache. None of it is particularly bad, just irritating. And I can't find my spare set of glasses. Good thing I have contacts too. I can put those in if I have to.
Now I'm just going to have to wait for the new glasses and try them out. If the headaches etc. go away, I'll know what's going on. *crosses fingers*
