I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed by my to-do list.

I should

  • finish that damned contract
  • work out
  • clean the dishes in the kitchen -- [livejournal.com profile] dragon_spirit can't, and we're running out of utensils some are still left, but mostly cleared up.
  • go through snail mail
  • check on and possibly pay bills
  • clean my room
  • do another one of those shampoos, and then do laundry
  • get the scale and speakers I bought set up and running
  • plan things for Naming Got the ball rolling

I know that far and away, the thing that is making me most stressed and unhappy is the contract, and so I should finish that. But I also know that focusing solely on that will make me miserable. How can I find a sane balance?

Oh, and I'm also still feeling pretty unstable emotionally. :(

Edit as of 11:37:
Feeling better. Plans are to do laundry next, and then if there's time do some cleaning or some work. After therapy tonight I'm going over to the Choir Loft to get work done in company.
Edit as of 13:05:
ok, set up the scale and took a shower because I felt all stinky. Did more Naming planning. Laundry is assembled, I am dressed, and now it is time to pack up the laptop, some work, some laundry stuff, and haul my ass over to Brainwash. Ah, the joy!

I normally will do the ugly to the not so ugly as far as things need to be done.

So like looking at this list I would workout, worse case scenario you at least exercise. Best case you may get that work out high and have more energy to tackle other things. Then shower.

The other stuff I'd set a timer for 15 min and try to do as much as I can within that time. When it is over, take a break. You will be surprised how much you can do in 15 min.

What do you mean plan things for naming? Whatcha naming? Pet rock?

*hugs gently*

What LWSRN does (she has add sorts of issues) is intersperse several things. Most people call this multitasking, except that she focuses on one thing exclusively for a little bit and then goes back to the really big thing, so as not to get totally overwhelmed. I, on the other hand, enjoy working on three things simultaneously. :)

While what everyone else said is very helpful, may I suggest you do what I often do?

Run screaming as far and as fast as possible?

No, I know that doesn't really help but since I'm feeling that way right now.... *hugs*
