Any idea why my asthma should be acting up?

I've had very little trouble with asthma for years, almost never needing an inhalor outside of physical activity or extreme emotional distress.

But twice in the past week I've had trouble breathing. I thought the first time it was the home control lice spray, but it can't be that... I've been sleeping on this bed plenty since it was sprayed, and not reacted, and now I am reacting, so it can't be to the spray or it would be more consistent and noticeable, especially in the morning.

I hope my asthma isn't changing from "mild" to "moderate."

Alergies? I have a very minor case of athsma but when I get a cold or alergies it goes into my chest and tightens everything up. Alergies have been "worse than in years" or so they say. (My body agrees.)

Hmm - is the de-licing kicking up a lot of dust around the house? Or the cleaning meathods generating mildew? Thats my first two guesses - but I don't have asthma, so they're just that - guesses.

I was wondering if the de-licing compounds themselves could possibly be responsible. They're pretty strong stuff, even the ones based on "natural" chemicals like pyrethrins. In fact, thinking on that... the pyrethrins are made from marigolds, I think. It might be a direct link.

Well, the pollen count has been much higher than normal in the bay area this season, so that may be a factor.

Also, I know that stress is a factor with Asthma...

are you PMSing or having your period? I just read an article in SELF magazine that said that women who suffered from allergies, even mild ones, had the worst allergy symptoms during that time. Almost all hospitalizations of women for allergy flare-ups occurred at that time. As well, the article also stated that most women with asthma went undiagnosed or were underdiagnosed. . .
