Short version:
Renting a car. Driving up from San Jose Friday morning. Maybe stopping at the school for 3.5 hours. If so, leaving at 2:52 p.m. for Annwfn.

If you are looking for a ride from anywhere on that path, or can offer me a ride that works for this schedule such that I won't have to rent a car, please contact me

Come on, you know you wanna! It'll be fun!

Also, in the unlikely event that someone has an automatic car that they would like to "rent" me at cheaper than agency rates, let me know.

So I have plans to go to Beltane at Annwfn. I currently have no way of going there.

I also have a date with someone in San Jose that evening. I HAD been planning on taking the train in, but looking at things...

That would mean I'd have to pack for Annwfn Tuesday or Wednesday, take the train to San Jose Thursday, get a ride back to work Friday, work for three hours, and then rendezvous with whoever is giving me a ride (presuming I find one).

But then it occurs to me... if I'm going to have to rent a car to go to Annwfn, I might as well rent it one day earlier and make my life ten times easier. Rent it thursday morning, or evening when I get home. Drive to San Jose. Have date. Drive back to SF. Teach. Then hop in the car at 2:52 and land in Annwfn sometime around 6 p.m.

Then I hear a teacher saying, "Oh, I have to pick my mother and sister up from the airport tuesday, so I won't be in." Is it that simple to get time off? Wouldn't it be a hell of a lot easier to start my weekend after school Thursday and take Friday off and drive to Annwfn from San Jose?

It would come out of my pay, since the Boston trip (which was out of my hands at that point) took up all of my unpaid time off. I missed a day for being sick, and that hasn't been taken out of my pay but they may decide to at some point anyway. $70 cost to me, probably. They have one teacher who has only missed a day in 16 years. They have another teacher who consistently takes off all 10 of her days off every year, and another teacher who often exceeds the 10 days.

Is it wrong to do this? For that matter, is it worth it? I guess SF is on my way to Annwfn anyway, and stopping at the school to teach would be a good break from the driving (and is literally on my way... 280 to 19th Ave, the school is right off Park Presidio, and then Park Presidio goes straight to the Golden Gate!).
