Apr. 16th, 2004 03:49 pmWhen writer's block/lack of focus strikes...
Take a break. Go to a cafe. Get some lunch. (yes, lunch. That part in the middle of the day where you have a meal?)
Read a book (I'm currently re-reading order of the phoenix) in a spot with just enough sun. Try not to think about work for a while.
When I come back, if I still can't focus, I may be looking for somewhere else to go to work. I have trouble working in my own apartment, often. Too many distractions. Cafes are better but the laptop runs out of power eventually, and other people's places are better, especially if they don't have WiFi or if they will nag me about working.
I REALLY need to get this work done. Even if I only manage one a day, I still won't finish on time at this point. And yet, I'm struggling to finish one a day simply because of focus issues. This does not bode well.
