In a week of cancelled plans, my date for tonight seems to have been cancelled.

I'll probably just stay in and get more work done, but is there anything interesting/exciting going on that could tempt me away from being a productive member of society?

--

It's been a productive day. I walked to the Apple Store and bought Office for Teachers and Students. It's not upgradeable, but its price is less than that for an upgrade, so that's no big deal.

Then, I stopped in at a bunch of wireless carriers and quizzed them on their data etc. plans. Still need to interrogate Sprint, Cingular, and Verizon. When I have it all figured out, I'll probably summarize in a post for those who are interested.

Then I grabbed a coldbuster from Jamba Juice and walked over to the rink. The bitch manager wasn't there, but other (nice) people were, and they called the LA office, who faxed my W2 in right away. So now I'm ready to do taxes! Yay!

Finally, a stop at Whole Foods, where I bought groceries for the Moonbase and spent Way Too Much on vitamins and herbal supplements. I need to be taking MSM and Glucosamine for my joints; when I take those I don't have to take painkillers to sleep at night. I need to be taking Calcium to compensate for the effect depo provera has on the calcium levels in my body. And I need to be taking good multivitamins to compensate for the fact that I don't always eat a balanced diet. It all adds up...

Now I need to work up the energy to go do laundry. I've got a theory about the hives and itchy scalp. See, I never washed the new sheets before I put them on the bed. Maybe there's nasty factory shit on them that I'm reacting to. Hell, maybe I'm allergic to the sheets themselves (that would suck). Either way, if washing them might make the itchy scalp, hivey neck, and random hives breaking out all over my skin go away, it seems a small price to pay. Happy Hour at brainwash goes until 7, so I have two hours to work up that laundry gumption. Weee!

A good way to get MSM cheap is to buy the powder instead of the pills. This you can get by the pound (a good brand is Lignisul) online -- I bought mine from a seller on eBay, blooberries. From there, you can buy capsules and pill it yourself, or do what I do and drink it in orange juice. (It's bitter otherwise, but in orange juice I can't taste a thing.)

for some reason i've been having trouble finding plain old calcium supplement pills. the ones i've found thus far all have random weird other stuff in them, like chocolate or vitamin D.

yeah, your sheets is probably what's causing the skin irritation, one of the chemicals they use to make the fabric look shiny is formaldehyde. Always wash the sheets before using them...
