A day

Rides tomorrow
Assuming good health and stamina, I hope to attend both [livejournal.com profile] zyxwvut's birthday party and DHP. Anyone able to offer rides from SF to either, or for that matter, from one to the other?

If I don't make it to either, I trust the hosts will understand that it is no reflection upon them, but rather upon my health and ability to hit two (or any) parties.

Today
Today was... a day.
After mostly sleeping until 2 p.m., I rose and showered and ate and all that.

I watched Orlando again while I took care of some necessary things online -- emails regarding business.

I took a brief nap until about 7, then got up, got dinner, and watched Dangerous Beauty followed by Ever After. Made new user icons and the web page, made a few posts.

Not so stuffed up but still feel kinda achey the way one does when sick. I'm sufficiently addicted to "being useful" that I don't want to go to sleep -- I want to work on that new web page I started! But I know I should sleep. Damned body.

Probably can't help you

The one person who I think is going in your direction (i.e., our party first and then [livejournal.com profile] disasterhouse) is someone that if you were friends with zir, you'd be Friends with zir. So, I'm guessing that you're probably not on such great terms (It's one of those schisms[*] that I'm always trying not to get in the middle of...).

I know one person who's going to DHP first and then here, which is probably just about 100.00% useless to you.

P.S.: * -- Although, the possibility does exist that I'm just plain wrong about your not being on good terms; it's at least a degree of separation from you, that I know of.

For future reference, the people I publicly do not interact with well:
[livejournal.com profile] tyrsalvia
[livejournal.com profile] lordbear
[livejournal.com profile] feyandstrange
Kat Page
[livejournal.com profile] nytemuse (only because of weirdness at the moment between us that I'm sure she will understand and is likely at least somewhat mutual).

And of course [livejournal.com profile] unseelie, for obvious reasons.

Anyone else who isn't on my friends list is either someone who I haven't met or someone who I haven't gotten around to friending, or someone for whom I have not yet matched username to meat space.

I find it disturbing that you would assume that if someone isn't on my friends list that clearly there is some large bit of interpersonal drama involved. In spite of your experiences with me and Tyrsalvia, I'm really not the type to have huge interpersonal drama. I hope that assumption is more a reflection of your outlook on the world than your impression of me. *sigh*

Like I said, it's not your drama, but one of these larger-community choose-up-allegiances things (which I try to opt out of, but am nonetheless impacted by). Like I said, I'm glad to be wrong. The person I was thinking of is not in your list of persons. :-D

No aspersions meant. It's late, and I write my comments in a hurry.

(You should be aware that a couplefew of the people you mentioned are on our invite list, although the track record of their actual attendance varies widely.)

P.S.: Hmmmm, whether you want to lock this post or screen these comments, either might not be a bad idea, due to my most recent post. Maybe I should take your post out? (Except for the possibility that someone might actually be able to hook you up with transport. Huh.)

Honestly, the only person who may be surprised to be on that list is lordbear, and I quite frankly don't care if he finds out by surprise at this point.

It doesn't surprise me that kat, feyandstrange, or tyrsalvia would be invited to your party, but I'd be surprised if feyandstrange showed up, kat is a sweetie even if we parted on unfortunate terms, and tyrsalvia and I are currently overlapping at enough semi-regular social events that we'll have to learn to interact at some point. I just wouldn't want to ask for or get a ride from any of them. And I wouldn't want any of these folks at S&P, but its closed invite right now anyway, so that's not a concern.

We can give you a ride from [livejournal.com profile] zyxwvut's to DHP, but we're heading south around 10. (We might or might not stop into DHP ourselves, but probably won't. I need to switch to a 9:30-5:45 sleeping schedule by Sunday night.)

Possibly...

...(saw this via [livejournal.com profile] zyxwvut's msot recent vanity post)

I plan on going to both his party & the DHP, and I live in Daly City. My moto is in the shop, so I'll be in my car - giving you a ride to either/both would not prove to be difficult. However:

I expect to be getting to [livejournal.com profile] zyxwvut's right at 8pm or a tad earlier.
I'll be heading to the DHP probably around 10-ish.
Though we probably have met at some point, and we know lots of people in common, I'm pretty much a complete stranger.

Let me know?

Hey,

I'd be happy to take you up on that ride offer if it is still good. I'm going to take a nap now until about 7.

My apartment is at 7th and Folsom street, so it is just a brief hop off the highway on your path.

Email me at questioner at lj daht com with your phone number and I'll call you as soon as I'm awake with more precise location. Or I'll end up BARTing to the party and we'll see each other there.
