Definitely sick

OK, until now it had been doubtable that I'm sick. However, now there is no doubt.

I'm very stuffed up. Slept poorly because of the stuffed upedness. sore throat. and i'm not sure but I think i'm running a temperature.

Still, I'm going to be careful and make an appointment at the haight clinic to talk to them just in case. The literature I've been reading indicates that MOST cases of lyme disease have a noticeable bullseye scar, but NOT ALL. And as many have pointed out, lyme disease can be debilitating, especially to someone like me who already has arthritis. But if treated early, it will not become chronic.

It seems unlikely that I have lyme disease, but it is better to get checked than to not get checked and have debilitating chronic arthritis and other problems for the rest of my life.

For those who may have wondered, I sincerely doubt I'll be making it to Sin! tonight. Visits before YOU head there are welcome, though, if you aren't scared of what I'm sick with.

Sounds like one of the current flu-like bugs... but bug-wise, if you've gotten a tick bite recently then I'd certainly get a medical exam.

Hell, even if it's not LD it could be something treatable, which would mean you'd be well more quickly. So it's really a win-win sort of thing, as long as your doc doesn't think you're a hypochondriac or something (which is why I left my doc, she failed to notice my wisdom teeth were infected and severely undermedicated me after I went to see her a second time and I told her, "look, it's not the freakin' flu").
