So. Got up. Felt well enough to go into school.

Physical activity takes a lot more energy that normal right now. I get tired more easily.

I could have gone home early -- all my students went to watch a debate at 1:30. But I stayed until 2:52 finishing off grading of all the material that had been handed in that day. Towards the end I kept on almost falling asleep. Grading is boring, but I hardly thought that was normal.

Went, tried to run errands, failed, and in a daze walked home with my ice cream.

When I got home I dragged the emptied recycling bin back upstairs and that effort alone tired me out. So after a brief chat with [livejournal.com profile] dragon_spirit, I went into my bedroom and passed out for 3.5 hours.

When I woke up, I didn't feel woozy the way I often do after evening naps, but I still felt a little tired. At first, walking to Brainwash for dinner felt really tiring but on the way back, I felt a lot less tired. The Odwalla I drank tasted abnormally good and I feel continually thirsty, which probably means I needed the nutrients in the Odwalla and my body is dehydrated as semi-sick bodies often are.

I ate, watched Vanilla Sky, and now I'm getting into bed again.

I now have two swollen lymph nodes; [livejournal.com profile] dragon_spirit checked the weirdly placed one to confirm that there is no discolouration. There isn't, so it probably is just a swollen lymph node. The other is right behind my right ear (which is where I usually get swollen lymph nodes).

Not coughing much if at all anymore. Nose has stopped running.

God damn, this winter has just been the winter of the interminable barely-sick. The sort where I have to get fuckloads of sleep all the time to avoid feeling sick, and if I shirk in that duty one night, I'll start coughing or whatever again. Will it ever go away?

Hum. I have the standard everything-tastes-nasty thing going, with whatever the sickness is I've picked up.

I hope both of us get well soon...

Not always, but often when things taste and smell off, it's a symptom of a zinc deficiency.
