Today was a good day.

A reasonably calm day at school, only brought down by the fact that I left my lunch on the bus. oops.

After school let out I called up the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] aberrantvirtue and made arrangements to meet her in the castro, where I had a late lunch of a burger and a chocolate shake.

Now, I usually don't tip large, but I did once at Sparkys and the waiter guy remembers me. And the shake he brought me today was the nicest, thickest shake, like, ever. And I like him. And he remembers me and knows I like my shake without whipped cream, and seems happy to see me! And they have a squishy lemon lamp that bounces. It's cool.

Not having tipped large before at a place I go to semi-often, this is a new experience for me and it makes me feel warm and fuzzy. Maybe I'm being naive but I feel good about our weird pseudo-relationship.

Anyway, it was REALLY good to catch up on things with [livejournal.com profile] aberrantvirtue. And afterwards we stopped at the Safegay as my housemate calls it and I got odwalla bars, bug spray and benadryl for the weekend, mouse traps for the house, and Nature's Gate Jojoba Oil shampoo and conditioner. I'm not sure, but I think it is already helping.

Got home, and found my new sharp pointy bits waiting for me! They're pretty and big and sharp! My nippies were being crusty and painful, so I took a nice shower, and headed off to S&P.

On BART I quickly found reading material: the schedule for the SF Film Festival, lying there on the floor in the seat I sat in. I'm all excited now! I've never done a film festival but there are some really cool movies and documentaries at this one and many/most of them are showing at the Castro and Kabuki.

In particular, I want to see Chouchou (about a transvestite looking for love), Blue Sky (animated korean scifi), Burning Dreams (about young chinese dancers in Beijing learning hiphop among other very modern forms of dance), Beautiful Boxer (I think that's what its called; true story about a young thai kick boxer who works his way to the top and then gets a sex change), Supersize Me (the documentary we've all heard about, wherein a guy eats nothing but McDonald's for a month and documents the experience), and more.

I left the schedule at the Observatory though. Have to poke them to not throw it out since I marked it up in ways that will be useful to me.

S&P was fun, and some flirtation made me feel confident that I am ready to date and have sex again. Only now I don't know when I'll have a chance! What I really need is someone who is willing to drop by for a quick, good fuck. Intercourse. Mmm. Thing is that I'm going to be away Friday-Sunday, and then Tuesday next week I have tentative plans, Wednesday I'd like to head to S&P, Thursday I'd like to take a certain hot chick out, and Friday my spring break begins which means I may be disappearing at any time in the next two weeks on a road trip which may not come complete with bootie. For that reason, starting next Friday, I don't want to schedule any dates until I figure out when I'm road tripping.

Anyway, hot-tubbed while preserving the nippies, ate tasty indian (with leftovers), chatted with nifty folk, and then got a pleasant ride home from a good friend -- and not too late either!

All is well with the world. Except for the not-laid part.

Habits on Busses

In 2.5 years riding the bus to and from high school, I developed the habit that when I stand up, I turn around and look where I was sitting to see if I had left anything behind.
