Cellphone data plans
Mar. 22nd, 2004 09:17 pmCellphone data plans are very confusing.
When I roll over my plan with Verizon or switch to ATT, I will be signing up for whatever will allow me to email, IM, etc. on my phone. If Verizon DOES start carrying the treo 600, how will I choose which one to stay with? Probably Verizon, but I still want to understand my options. And unfortunately, the data plans are very poorly described on the websites.
I'm also still being somewhat of an angst bunny about the phone itself. Verizon is now offering the kyocera 7135 for $400 (with a rebate and 2 year plan). ATT has the Treo for $500. And who knows, maybe something new and nifty is about to come out...

Date: 2004-03-23 02:01 am (UTC)- Airtime, like a normal call. Or a ludicrous fee ($80 or more a month) for unlimited data airtime.
- WAP proxy: flat monthly fee(you can use a free one if you prefer)
- Text messages... $5 for 500/month or something like that. Each IM is a text message.
Now, I have a non-graphical web browser. But I also use Verizon's "high speed" data network to connect with my laptop, as I've mentioned. So I'd imagine that the treo setup would be similar.no subject
