I've been getting to know myself all over again. I've been going through my long list of tasks that fell by the wayside during my relationship with [livejournal.com profile] unseelie, and trying to get my life in order.

I admit I've been feeling rather jealous of my time. I'm almost scared of socializing, of dating, etc. Things get so much more complicated when you introduce others into the equation. It's so much harder to determine what I want, as opposed to what they want. Meanwhile, I'm torn at any point between socializing, getting more of my to-do list done, exercising, or vegetating alone.

But I guess I've been getting lonely. I've been craving companionship when there's no one around, and that is no fun.

So I guess I'll slowly try to reintroduce socializing to my life. Go to S&P regularly, and maybe some clubs or parties as they occur. And maybe a "date" here and there, but not too many. My time is mine first and foremost. *deep sigh*

I also think I might be ready for sex. It's been more than a month now and if I take it slow, it seems like it should be ok.

The question is... there are a million people in my social crowd who I want to get to know better, and a number of people I owe dates to. Who do I start with?

I keep crossing paths with [livejournal.com profile] unseelie online... and occasionally running into someone at a party that knows him. I begin to wonder if our (your and mine) paths may have actually crossed, considering how small the bay area really is and all...

I am not currently mobile, but will have a car within a month. Once I am mobile, *or* if you're in the Mountain View area. I'd be cool to meet and talk over drinks or coffee some time. Baycon is another option I suppose...

Yep... live and work in Mountain View. I've been here in the bay area since '95 or so.

I was in MtV til just a couple months ago, when I moved to Palo Alto. I still work in MtV... (When I first moved out in '99, I was up in Berkeley; I moved south in '02.)

I should friend you, I guess. *g*

Also, if you're into board and card games, I could add you to the invite list for my SBay games night. Which hasn't happened for a while, because of the moving thing, but will start up again eventually. :-)

Feel free to friend me, and board games are always good. :)

I sadly, don't always have the time, but they're always good. In fact, at [livejournal.com profile] winter0's birthday party last night there was some talk of trying to get a game or two of Settlers of Catan in, as I still haven't had a chance to play it.

Settlers is probably the most popular game among my friends. I have Settlers and the 5-or-6-player expansion. I'm considering acquiring Seafarers. I tried Knights and Cities once, found it a bit more complicated than I cared for. I've heard that Starfarers ain't bad, but that Stone Age is kinda lame...
