Hair party!

A number of people have discussed wanting to try out my Split Ender, which can be bought at some Walgreens for only $40.

For that reason, I've been thinking that having a little "hair party" (kind of like a tupperware or avon party) might be in order.

The purpose of this party would be to socialize, try out the split ender, and share hair tips and hair styles for long hair (although short haired people are welcome!), style each other's hair, and socialize. I know a number of nifty braided hairstyles, for instance, and would be happy to teach y'all.

Let me know if you would be interested and if so, what your availability is like. If a time convenient for all cannot be found, I may just schedule individual visits to try it out as time permits.

Sunday afternoon or evening this or next weekend would work great for me, but I'm open to other possibilities.

I'm interested, even though I've already got a Split-Ender and it doesn't seem to work terribly well on my hair. Next weekend's preferable to this, I think.

I'm booked this weekend, between work and a housewarming party. Might be able to do Sunday afternoon next weekend.

I'm still sorta curious about the split-ender, but wondering just how long it takes to go through a full head of hair, and how possible it is to use it while doing anything else...

It takes both hands, definitely.

Well, I was thinking along the lines of, is it possible to use it while watching TV, listening to the radio, talking with folks... It seems to me I remember it maybe being too loud for that, but I could be wrong...

Becareful with the Split Ender! My best friend (and roommate) is a highly skilled and highly paid hair stylist. The Split Ender horrifies her. She has had some clients who have tried it with disasterous results.

Disastrous how?

(With my hair "anything that can go wrong, will" is a pretty good rule, so I try not to do too much to it, usually. *sigh*)

I'd love to try it out sometime, though I likely won't be able to come to too many social events before several writing commitments are due (which precludes the next few weekends, alas). How well does it purport to work on very curly hair?
