Report of the day
Jan. 25th, 2004 09:02 pm-Phone is working
-Workout happened. Working out didn't seem to aggravate the nipples much, even though I did 35 minutes on the elliptical. And it felt good to get back in the saddle!
-Went to check out the SSF car. When they said salvage, they meant it. They also gave off a sketchy vibe... We could have used
unseelie's AAA Plus to tow it to any shop within 100 miles, but with the damage the body had sustained originally, I strongly suspected it was a death trap waiting to happen.
Now I'm home and will hopefully get to work on lesson plans... if I can finish a week's worth of lesson plans, I can spend the week doing the following to-do list (in no particular order, updating entry as I remember 'em):
And that's ignoring all the social things I'd like to do!
It's a lot to have on your plate but luckily most of it isn't URGENT. I can imagine getting large portions of it done this week if I work hard... *sigh*
Serendipity of the day:
Was wearing my bi pride shirt and a nice gay man walked up to me and asked me to volunteer for the AIDS Foundation. Turns out though that the shift he was looking to fill overlaps with my work hours, so no go. But we had a nice chat; he was very nice and friendly, and we talked about our careers, politics, volunteering, and then he sold me a chocolate bar as a fundraiser for the AIDS Foundation.
It was nice. :)
OK, now to work. I'll be really happy when I won't be working CONSTANTLY on school related stuff. I expect I'll be able to enjoy teaching far more when I don't have all this extra stuff to do for the job plus other stuff going on in my life to boot. Calmness will happen/come eventually, really...

- design a curriculum for my classes as well as a grading breakdown
- grade homework assignments
- clean room/unpack from Boston trip
- vacuum apartment, mop floors, scrub various objects, tidy living room and kitchen
- catch up on goings on in the tech world
- catch up on writing stuff
- go through and deal with all of my mail
- join costco
- call doctor and therapist to set up appointments so that I don't run out of antidepressants!
- go shopping so I can eat healthier food... is the new whole foods open, I wonder?

And that's ignoring all the social things I'd like to do!
