phone update

All indications show that the phones WERE a scam.

There were three auctions going and the one that ended first went for abouit $1500. As soon as it ended the other two plus the other item the same guy was selling became unavailable. He hasn't gotten any negative feedback from the deal yet, but I'm figuring its just a matter of time.

At this point I'm going to stop wishing I could have a new phone and wait until I have random amounts of money, or possibly until April 5th when I'm eligible for a discount on a new phone and the treo 600 should be available through verizon.

I'm glad you didn't wind up bitten by something that fooled you and (almost?) all the respondants to your poll, including me. Luck that someone else appeared to get the bum deal.
