Since [livejournal.com profile] bk2w asked, I am still considering purchasing the lot of ten Kyocera 7135s depending on how cheap I can get them

There are currently 3 lot of tens for sale; each sale ends at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday respectively. The first is currently at $1275, the second and third at $510, currently.

I am fairly confident that the phones are as represented and will be functional based on my research.

I have two main concerns at this point.

First, can I get one of these lots at a price that will be economical given how much time I invest in the purchase and in reselling them?

Second, there was a batch of kyocera phones with faulty batteries (if I understood what the verizon person told me correctly), which is why you cannot buy the 7135 new anywhere right now; they will be shipping replacement phones and batteries sometime in the next few weeks. If the story about where these phones came from is true, they are in all likelihood NOT from that batch; certainly the seller claims they are not, but how would he know? Even if they are from that batch, replacement batteries would cost $20/phone buying generic batteries, $70/phone buying kyocera batteries when they have the replacements in.

The purchase is insured up to $500 by paypal, btw.

Please answer below honestly; it will help me figure out how much I should be willing to pay for these phones.

Sounds like you've already done as much research as can feasably be done, including a fallback plan for the "what if" scenario. Fire up the sniping software and let it run, assuming you don't mind having a grand tied up in cellphones for a few months.
