Scheduling for January... Boston and SFBA folk please read

I'm trying to book tickets for a trip to Boston in January. I'm trying to decide which of these windows would be best:

Jan 9-19 (I would be in Boston for both the FFF and Arisia; Unseelie COULD potentially join me for the FFF and then return in time for classes on the 15th, but if he didn't, I'd be missing some of his vacation time which could be spent visiting elsewhere)

Jan 15-25 (I would be in Boston for Arisia and one other weekend)

Are there any important events in SF or Boston going on between Jan 9-15 or 19-25 that you know of that I should care about/would affect my decision?

Well I don't know much more than FFF and Arisia, and I expect to be at Arisia...if you're here for FFF then maybe we can go there together and goof off?

I think the IAP guild game is Jan 15-25. Thus if you want more of your guildish friends in boston to be free over your visit(and throw great big gods of time at you), you should visit the 9th-19th.
