Simplicity seems to be the only pattern maker that makes a cheerleader pattern for adults.

Simplicity, unlike the other pattern makers, does not sell individual patterns online.

Simplicity is not stocked at most of the fabric stores I've called or been to. The Discount Fabrics on Mission is phasing them out, and does not appear to have the cheerleader pattern I need.

I'm really frustrated. Anyone have any brilliant suggestions?

Find a JoAnn's fabrics - they always have Simplicity, and usually at half-off the suggested retail price.

I know there's one in Emeryville, but I have no idea where there is one in SF.

Pretty sure there's one in Seramonte, just south of SF. I swear I've been there, but I could be wrong.

You're right...it's in the shopping center near Home Depot where the Pier 1 Imports is. I used to go there.

Did you also try Beverley's in Daly City? I'm not quite sure if it's still there, but they used to have a bunch of Simplicity patterns...

If you can't find it either of those places, let me know the pattern #. There's a ton of random fabric places in the South Bay that seem to overstock on patterns sometimes so I can check down here.

So, kinda curious why you need a cheerleader pattern. Not as to why you're making this, but rather why you need that particular pattern.

The skirt can be done rather easily with just about any pleated skirt pattern. The only thing you're really going to need to change is the legnth.

You should also be able to substitute the top with somthing appropriate. If you're going for the tank-top type ones, grab that kind of pattern. For the sweater, I know there's patterns for that, too.

By breaking it down you may have to spend a little more on the patterns themselves, but it will make finding them much easier.

If you're really desperate for this pattern, I also suggest checking e-bay. That's where I found the out-of-print cossack pattern that I still have to make. That was the only place that had it.

E-bay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2346014434&category=31407), cheap.
McCalls (http://store.sewingtoday.com/cgi-bin/mccallspatterns/shop.cgi?s.item.400003759=x&TI='cheer'&pageNum=1&M=&UK=30997491) pattern, # 3759.
Interesting (http://www.tokyoboom.com/Louise/cosplay/sakura.htm) costume thing.
Pattern (http://www.costumes.org/ADVICE/1pages/pattern_links.htm) links from costumes.org which has some computer pattern generators which may be useful.
Butterick (http://store.sewingtoday.com/cgi-bin/butterick/shop.cgi?s.item.3659=x&TI='cheerleader'&pageNum=1&M=&UK=30997663) pattern no.3659, which may be the same or similar to the McCalls. This is also 50% off today, and you can order online.

I've done my seamstressly duty. :)
