Must... have... chocolate...
Aug. 11th, 2003 04:42 pmThe issue toast was today, and they had expensive italian gelato in three flavours, crushed walnuts, sliced bananas, and aromatic chocolate sauce. I walked in, saw that there was no where to sit, no toasts being made, and nothing I was allowed to eat, plus that tantalizing chocolate smell that drew me... and I fled. Now I'm craving chocolate like mad. Want! wantwantwantwant!
Alas. No chocolate for the happy fun Questioner, but at least the smell will not TAUNT HER AT HER DESK!
It's possible I need to get out more. Or less. Or maybe get more sex. Or maybe more chocolate.
As mentioned, it was an awesome weekend. In spite of weird emotional angst that occasionally popped up... I had a great time with
unseelie on Saturday. Then we met up with
sinboy and in spite of his sleep dep I enjoyed chatting with him and baking cookies. Later still, we proceeded to the Disaster House party. What a blast! Much thanks to
aberrantvirtue for getting the cuddling, groping, and kissing going. And always, much thanks to
angelbob and
bk2w for hosting an amazing party. Wow. Just, wow.
For the first time in just... ages... I left the party exhausted in the good way. I was passing out in the passenger seat of the car, and yet I wasn't grumpy. I was all glowy. I suppose mind-boggling-ly good sex, belgian truffles, a 2 hour soak in the hot tub, flirting with (and kissing!) cute nifty folk, and good socializing, just leave me in a happy buzz when combined.
The next day we went to the Ren Faire, and in spite of some emotional vulnerability similar to the breakdown of Friday night, I had a blast. I bought a nifty hat. It has a huge whole in it that needs to be mended, but I paid $15 for it as opposed to $55 for a brand new one. A win if you ask me. Dinner at Pasta Pomodoro followed by finally digging in and getting started on that novel made for a marvelous finish to the evening.
Oh, and I have a million stories being pitched right now at the magazine... w00t or something...
All Hail Eris for the random goodness (and badness!) she brings into our lives.
All Hail Aphrodite for the love and lust she brings to our lives.
And so on. And so on.
That is all.
Still want chocolate.
