I am free until about 10 p.m. if anyone wants to do dinner or hang out (dinner can be cheap-ass pasta or relatively cheap restaurant food).

Suggestions for social plans are welcome. If I end up on my own, I will probably work on my freelance project some more, read, maybe take a bath, and/or geek out on the web or my new Life Balance software.

You could head down to Palo Alto and go to the free Tempest concert at the Mitchell Bowl Park. Runs from 6:30pm to about 8pm.

I'm considering going, and a number of DH regular attendees are going as well.

I'm sure we could find someone to make a quick run to the CalTrain station to pick you up, if you want to take that route.

And wow, thats a random cross-country social circle LJ intersection. Hi Brian!

Indeed. Livejournal is weird that way. I've had too many social circles collapse like that in the last year.

Um. But you guys are both in the Bay Area. I'm confused. Did you know each other from school and not know that you had both moved to the area, or something?

We both went to Carnegie Mellon and were part of various geeky groups there. I knew Brian was in the Bay area, having seen him at a BBQ a year ago or so, but the odd bit is that he's also on your friends list...

More evidence in favor of my theory that, if you randomly select any two people in the Bay Area at any given time (including visitors), you will be able to connect them in three degrees or less.

Given my headache and the fact that I'm not much of a concert-type in the first place, alas, I think I will pass. But thanks for the rather nifty suggestion!
