There's an e-mail in my inbox from the mother of my only steady student saying that she will not be taking lessons from me anymore and they are going to find another coach. Um. Ok. That was from left field...

Oh well. So I'm losing a source of $15/week income. I've gained things like the textbook company, which is $30+/hour income, unlimited hours per week. I think I'm all good. But I'm still curious what motivated this change. I had no idea that they were unsatisfied, although her lack of progress due to not PRACTICING might have something to do with it. *shrug*

Onward...
