w00t! Anyone have any guesses at what that means?


(1) I will probably hear back from them either tomorrow or Thursday -- if all the references they need to speak to are there and available when they call, tomorrow.
(2) I'm still in the running. I'm in the final pool of people they've chosen. Now does this mean I am in the top N they are bothering to check the references for, or does it mean that I am the one they want and they are just checking references just in case?

They wouldn't be asking for more references if they weren't still considering you. I'd say you're strongly still in the running, and that it's highly competitive.
