Overall, more places are looking for people than vice versa. The market is softening a bit, but it makes it more difficult if you're trying to keep a place with the same number of people.

(I saw a post recently for a roommate in a 4-bedroom in union square for $380. The mind boggles. I haven't seen prices like that since '98 or '99....)

I'm not yet quite immersed, but I am looking - either for a housemate at my current place, or a new place for me to move into. Although I'm now tending much more towards just finding a new place with some people I like. I'm hoping to move around the beginning of August, or maybe even as early as late July, but my least runs through August 31st. More info here, although that post was from when I was still tending more towards trying to find a housemate to join me at my current apt.
